Kate Bommarito

Kate Bommarito has been following politics and economic policy for more than 25 years. She joined up with Freedom Force communications and began writing for PlainsDaily in January, 2011.

In 1992, only a couple years after the fall of the Berlin Wall, she moved to Budapest, Hungary, where she worked with a non-profit leadership development agency. In 1999, Kate partnered with Andrea Szabados and Lilla Gere to found the first bilingual women’s magazine in Hungary. Kate and Andrea oversaw the editing and publication of the magazine for more than 5 years.
Returning to the United States in 2003 after living more than a decade in a post-communist, emerging nation, Kate was surprised and concerned by the degree of fundamental shifts she observed in the American political and societal landscape. She once again found herself involved in American politics, now combining her economic and cultural training with her unique political experiences and her writing abilities to work for a variety of conservative causes.

Kate has more than twenty years’ experience working with non-profit marketing, ten years’ experience with small business development and various freelance writing projects, and has been an avid reader throughout her life.
Born in Cincinnati, Ohio, Kate holds a Bachelor of Arts degree in Economics, a Master of Arts degree in Multicultural Communication and Economic Development and is a member of Phi Beta Kappa.

In her free time, Kate enjoys her family, running, gardening, skiing, reading and traveling. She has visited five of the world’s seven continents, and plans on seeing them all.
