Day 24 of a 30 day bus tour of the Mid-West brought House Minority Leader John Boehner of Ohio to Fargo.  Boehner came to town to support House Candidate Rick Berg.  Boehner appeared on the Scott Hennen Show and spoke about a wide range of topics starting with the Berg campaign.

He says that it doesn’t matter if it appears that berg is winning or Pomeroy is losing “Berg is ahead it doesn’t matter if he is winning or Pomeroy is losing the people want change.”  Boehner says that Berg’s experience in North Dakota politics is an asset that connects Berg to the people of North Dakota.

Hennen suggested the possibility of a Democrat leader will come to the state in support of Pomeroy.  Boehner says that they can’t because the Democratic leadership is so unpopular.

Boehner also talked about the developing platform of the GOP, “We are listening to the people and they are coming up with ideas, voting on ideas.”  He went on to say “They have said, very clearly; no bailouts, no tax increase, no Cap and Trade the list goes on.  These are the things we are not going to do.”
