The North Dakota Policy Council has published their suggestions for the 2011 legislative session. In their report, Moving Forward: A North Dakotan’s Guide To Public Policy the group lays out a list a priorities for restricting spending, overall fiscal responsibility, and protecting personal liberty.
Policy Council Director Brett Narloch says the report is structured as a set of progressive goals. “We have separated our suggestions into long term and short term goals” he said “the short term goals are stepping stones to the long term.” Narloch went on to say “We realize the long term goals are not immediately realistic but the short term lays that very important groundwork.”
The North Dakota Policy Council will be holding an event featuring Barry Goldwater Jr. on September 11th in Fargo. The Free Market Forum event will focus on issues of policy and maintaining state sovereignty.
Tickets are also availible by calling the Policy Council at 1-701-223-8155. Narloch did say that there are a limited number of lines availible to handle calls at that number. “If the lines are busy please be patient and continue to call” said Narloch.
